Maggie M. Akins, 89, Clarkston
     
Maggie M. Akins, 89, former owner-operator of Akins Shady Grove Trailer Park at Clarkston, died Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. at Tri-State Convalescent Center where she had resided for two years.
     
She and her late husband, Earl Akins, farmed in the Cavendish area for many years before moving to Lewiston. She later moved to Clarkston and operated the trailer park for 11 years.
     
She was born Dec. 15, 1891, at Southwick to George and Cora Brown. She was married to Akins July 5, 1910, and he died July 19, 1956.
     
She was a member of the United Brethren Church and the Asotin County Gerontology Council and a former member of the Pomona Grange.
     
Survivors include a daughter, Agnes Wittman of Lewiston; a son, Vernon of Eugene, Ore.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Sapp of Medford, Ore., and Goldie Tempro of Spokane; and a brother, Ed Brown of Kendrick.
     
Six sisters, a brother and a daughter, Ilah Akins, preceded her in death.
     
The body is at the Brower-Wann Funeral Home with services pending.
